Patients Are at the Heart of Our Work.
Frank considered himself an athlete. Outside of his work as a teacher, he was an avid cyclist and an assistant coach for his son’s high school soccer team.
Eight years ago he had carpal tunnel surgery and five years ago a spontaneous bicep tendon rupture. These classic symptoms of amyloidosis were unfortunately missed and could have led to an earlier diagnosis.
Frank started to notice that he was becoming short of breath cycling up hills and visited his cardiologist who diagnosed heart failure. By the time Frank was accurately diagnosed with amyloidosis, he needed help from his wife to climb the stairs to his home.
“I used to pride myself on helping others, but now I need help.”
Amyloidosis Research Consortium(ARC)’s physician education programs are raising awareness of symptoms and ways to diagnose earlier, which is key to saving patients’ lives.
ARC’s research programs are speeding the development of critical new medications to treat amyloidosis.
We ask that you generously support us as we continue to work towards a future where amyloidosis is not only treatable, but curable.

Since ARC was founded in 2015, we’ve helped make five life-saving treatments available to the patients who need them. We’re committed to pushing research forward and working to make more therapies more available to more patients.
ARC’s research programs, including the Amyloidosis Forum — our unique research partnership with FDA — are speeding the development of much needed new therapeutics to treat amyloidosis.
ARC’s physician education programs are raising awareness of red flag symptoms and tools leading to earlier diagnosis. Current treatments only slow progression. Earlier diagnosis is key to improving patients’ lives
With ARC, patients are never alone. Our free educational booklets, support call line, teams of experts, and other pieces of our support network make sure patients are equipped to find the right treatment center for them, ask the right questions to their physicians, and live a better life.
Your gift to ARC brings us one step closer to a future free of amyloidosis.
Together we can push research forward.
